thinking of winter

i've been meaning to write about something but i've forgotten all about it until now.its a miracle how time flies so fast.it has already been a year since i came and i just cudnt believe it.this is my 2nd winter and i still remember my 1st one.the yellow bubble jacket that i wore to the classes and city! (omg.i didnt even realize how silly i looked!the jacket is now safely tucked at the back of the closet.haha).the people i met a year ago are now my good frens.but some have left and only a few are still here.soon, more people are leaving.one of my housemates is already safe and sound in jogja.another will leave in august.then..in a couple of months, i'll be the one heading home.i am soo not ready to leave, let alone ready to start writing my thesis! i am terribly nervous to meet my supervisor today.wish me luck, guys.anyway, im looking forward for the summer to come.my parents are gonna be here for my graduation and probably hana is gonna be here as well (u better come!).and not forgetting, kak tasya (start saving monies!).haha.how i wish my frens cud be in the same place as i am rite now.to get a little taste of melbourne lah.i'll be here until march (insyaAllah) so start planning.i'd love to see u guys here.

dead city

the city of adelaide is super b.o.r.i.n.g. we were in town and it was literally empty.ok, im exaggerating.but its kinda true.it was like a dead city.we drove around looking for the malls but we coudnt find one!how sad.the only place we went to in the city was the central market.the tourist sites on the other hand, were cool.the main highlight was (im sure some knew this by now) the sight of a whale.the tourist informers told us that few have seen whales somewhere along the beach.we were secretly hoping that we cud see them but none of us said it out loud.i guess we were just telling ourselves not to get our hopes up.it was a funny moment because i cud see from the corner of my eyes, my housemate and brother eyes' were hopefully staring at the sea to look for a whale.it was our luck that my housemate said she saw a whale's tail.so we look for the nearest exit to the beach and stayed in the car looking for something to pop up from the water.after a few minutes, there it was.a whale.it was exciting, really.i mean, who gets to see whales golek2 in the sea that often?i dont.jadi, that was an amazing experience la.a fren studying in adelaide once warned me, 'jgn dtg adelaide' but i did anyway and i had fun (at tourist sites, at least!haha).

Alhamdulillah..now i can breathe.there was a horrible misunderstanding between me and my tutor.2weeks ago i checked my 2nd semester results and to my atonishment, i failed a subject.then i realized, it was my mistake after all.because weeks before, the tutor did email us and ask us to email him back if we dont get all our marks yet.i didnt.because i thot if it didnt come out on the blackboard, it'll come out in the results eventually.i knew i didnt get marks for the final assignment but i didnt bother to email him.and so the problem arose.i failed.after i got back from nz, i emailed the tutor but he didnt reply me.then i went and looked for him but he wasnt in the office.so, i decided to email the administrator.he or she replied immediately and contacted my tutor as well.then my tutor sent me an email yesterday saying that he has no record of me handing in the final assignment.SHIT.but thank god, Carey, had a copy of my assignment (which meant i DID submit it) and she asked the tutor if he wants to look at it.about an hour later, Carey gave another email (above) and i felt like crying.if it wasnt for Carey, i wud have to repeat that subject.and as i've predicted, i only got Credit.too bad lah since it is one of my favourite subjects.but that's alrait.at least i passed.

i dont actually know what to write.haha.been busy with skool and stuff that i havent thot of updating this blog.but since im free today, i might as well write few things down.the trip to christchurch was like a dream.my brain cudnt register of what i was looking at was real.like i was watching a documentary on a 1,000,000 inch plasma tivi.cantiknya ciptaan Tuhan, masyaAllah.the trip was definitely worth it tho i didnt get to go to queenstown.next time insyaAllah i'll be going back to nz and this time im bringing my parents along.if u have the chance, do go and visit nz.i know its easier said than done (never thot i cud either) but i've done it .if i can, then u can as well.

i was watching Catch and Release when i heard his song played in one of the scenes.i googled the parts of lyrics that i cud remember and then came out the results.the song in the movie is called What If You (soon i learned that it was also featured in Scrubs).i decided to download just that song but then after reading up about him on wiki (wiki really does wonder kan), i downloaded most of the songs listed on the website.i also learned that Ellen DeGeneres chose him over Justin Timberlake (my boifren) to sing on her wedding.this guy must be something and he proved himself right.he is amazing.i love his songs and most of them are featured in Scrubs because Zach Braff is his close fren (figures).he's somewhere between damien, john mayer and jason mraz.if u like the 3 singers i mentioned, u'll love joshua.read more of him here.and if ur too lazy to download but REALLY wants to listen to his song, email me.i can email them to u as soon as i can.cheers!

i'm sorry

i did something wrong and that led to mom's disappointment.i didn't know it wud hurt her.this morning mom called just to say hi.so i told her about ozra and about going home this holiday.so i said i cudnt go back because i might go to adelaide then after that im going to new zealand.when i told her that, she said 'adik, how dare u go to new zealand without me!' i was stumped and didnt know how to react.my heart beated fast.my head hurt.i was out of words.the only thing that i managed to say after few seconds was 'sorry'.i was sorry and still am.i sent her a text right after the phone call but she didnt reply.i hurt her so bad.

i've managed to not buy clothes or anything else for the past 4 weeks.unbelievable, i know.im very impressed with myself too.haha.i had to restrain myself from spending.just because i dont have any monies!sigh.but im waiting for some cash now.dh dpt nnt siap la! i went to dotti on chapel street today and i tried on a beaded vest.omg..it was sooo me.costs $20 which, is quite cheap but still kinda expensive too.haha.confuse confuse.anyway, i'll just have to do some budgeting.my housemate invited me to go to adelaide.hmm..adelaide ke new clothes?susahnyaaa nak pilih..! *gedik* haha.
